Mom's Hometown - Tuburan Cebu

Last weekend, we went to my mom's hometown - The Municipality of Tuburan. It is situated in the Northwestern Coast of Cebu Province. Tuburan is known for cold springs and beaches. One of our favorite hang-out is the Molobolo Cold Spring.

Travel time to Tuburan is about 2 hours from the city via Transcentral Hiway by VHire (fare is Php140). You can also take a bus but it will take you "forever" to get to your destination.

On going road construction along Transcentral hiway.

As far as I could remember, the road going to Tuburan was not as good as this. From the city to Tuburan, the national road has been fully rehabilitated.

Aside from single motorcycles, the common service of the people in Tuburan is the balloon-bike.

St. Anthony de Padua Church.

This is used to be the port going to Bacolod.

Other end of the port.

Town's terminal - Vhire and Bus.

Tricyle terminal.

Molobolo from the town proper is approximately 10-15 minutes ride. You can either take a habal-habal or a tricycle.

This way to the famous Molobolo Cold Spring...

Road going to Molobolo Cold Spring.

Parking area. Fee is shocking! Php100 for summer season.

Pool for the kids about 3 feet.

This pool is quite deep around 4-5 feet.

Molobolo spring is surrounded with trees. Spring water flows towards the sea.

Molobolo beach.

The other side of the beach.

Cottages for rent ranges from Php100 to Php500, depends actually on the season. Since it's summer, we had the Php300.

Fresh fish at its finest! For only Php 150/kilo.

Fish is readily available at the beach.

Although the beach is not the famous white sand, sand and pebbles doesn't affect the clearness of the sea water.

The next day, we went out to scout for another beach. And we found this one in Languyon Tuburan. It is not that far though from the town proper but is remotely quite, perfect for relaxation. Since it's not accessible by a 4-wheel car, we walked for about 15-20 minutes. We passed by a very huge Acienda owned by a foreign national.

I haven't seen a carabao for quite a while now. So, I was amazed to see one.

Among the plants in the Acienda is this Acacia tree.

I just remembered my childhood days seeing these two girls playing under the Tamarind tree.

The longest shoreline I've ever seen in my entire life! Open to public, the shoreline reaches up to the far end  connecting Molobolo beach. No cottages, not crowded. You'll just need to take watch with your young swimmers, since the seashore is already deep within a few steps.

How to get there:
Terminal Type VIA Travel Time Fare
Ayala Terminal Vhire Transcentral hiway 2 hours Php140
North Bus Terminal Vhire Lugo 3 hours Php140
South Bus Terminal Corominas Bus Toledo 3-4 hours Php80

Friends + Prizes Only At 434U.com

UPDATE 04/21/2013:
434U.com has been shutdown 2 years ago.

=====
Joining at 434U is not like any other normal social media site, it’s an invite only site. There’s no normal sign-up procedure you will encounter.

I never thought a lot will change after joining.

434U was introduced by my cousin, Maricyl. She gave me the invitation link and I signed up. Honestly, my first impression was “not another social media site”. But what catches me the most is the “profit share” the members will receive in the future. I mean, is this real? None of the social media sites that I’m into are sharing their profit to the members. Not even the popular Facebook and Twitter.

At first there was this hesitation. I don’t know most of the members. I just browse and scroll over the site. To fast forward, I made friends from majority of the members. Each greeting we have is like an everyday conversation and by each day, we built friendship.

Winning a competition is totally a surprised for me. I got excited when I received the announcement of 434U’s first competition. I mean who would not! With weekly prizes of $150! That is already equivalent to half of my monthly salary! Not even my company I’ve worked with would give such bonus!

So, what I did was follow the rules of the competition, stick to it, and most importantly STAY POSITIVE. I wanted to win, nothing else on my mind. No doubts, no hesitations. My vision was very clear: WIN. AND I DID FOR WEEK 1!!!

The prize money is a big help to me and my family. And as I promised to myself that if I will win, part of the prize will be shared to my crew members who also had exerted efforts on staying active despite of how busy they are on daily activities (guys, I'm sure you already received your packages). And then of course the remaining will be shared to the members of my family. If there’s little left for myself, I would really love to go to the salon and do my hair LOL

No words can express how grateful I am in joining 434U. I found friends, who accepted for what I am. And of course the prize, of which I know more are coming. I believe 434U.com will make a change. After all, 434U is the most (and ONLY) secure online social networking community out there. And I’m sticking here.

More Power To 434U.com!

PS: Attached is the proof of my winnings at 434U
